The Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress to Amend the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China, as adopted at the 32nd Session of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on December 24, 2021, is hereby issued, and shall come into force on January 1, 2022.
《全国人民代表大会常务委员会关于修改＜中华人民共和国民事诉讼法＞的决定》已由中华人民共和国第十三届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第三十二次会议于2021年12月24日通过，现予公布，自2022年1月1日起施行。

As decided at the 32nd Session of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress, the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China is amended as follows:
第十三届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第三十二次会议决定对《中华人民共和国民事诉讼法》作如下修改：

I. One article is added as Article 16: “With the consent of the parties, civil proceedings may be conducted online through an information network platform.
　　一、增加一条，作为第十六条：“经当事人同意，民事诉讼活动可以通过信息网络平台在线进行。

“Online civil proceedings conducted through an information network platform shall have the same legal force as offline legal proceedings.”
“民事诉讼活动通过信息网络平台在线进行的，与线下诉讼活动具有同等法律效力。”
