• The Law of the People's Republic of China on Ecological Protection of the Tibetan Plateau, as adopted at the 2nd Session of the Standing Committee of the Fourteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on April 26, 2023, is hereby issued and shall come into force on September 1, 2023.
• 《中华人民共和国青藏高原生态保护法》已由中华人民共和国第十四届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二次会议于2023年4月26日通过，现予公布，自2023年9月1日起施行。

• 第一章　总　　则

• Article 1 This Law is enacted for the purposes of strengthening the ecological protection of the Tibetan Plateau, preventing and controlling ecological risks, guaranteeing ecological security, building a hub of national ecological civilization, promoting sustainable economic and social development, and achieving the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
• 　　第一条　为了加强青藏高原生态保护，防控生态风险，保障生态安全，建设国家生态文明高地，促进经济社会可持续发展，实现人与自然和谐共生，制定本法。

• Article 2 Where activities related to the ecological protection of the Tibetan Plateau are engaged in or involved, this Law shall apply; if this Law is silent thereon, any other relevant law shall apply.
• 　　第二条　从事或者涉及青藏高原生态保护相关活动，适用本法；本法未作规定的，适用其他有关法律的规定。
